In more than two decades of agency work, Mike has gained a wealth of experience working with a range of clients, including colleges and universities, government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, banks, associations, professional services organizations, restaurants, not-for-profits and technology firms. As president of CRT/tanaka, Mike has developed an array of national, regional and statewide programs designed to achieve meaningful business and organizational outcomes.
Before joining one of CRT/tanaka's predecessor agencies (Earle Palmer Brown) in 1990, Mike was director of public relations for Hameroff/Milenthal/Spence a $40-million agency located in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, he was responsible for strategy, planning and implementation of varied communications programs for organizations such as Con Agra's Red Meats Division, Rax Restaurants and Oscar Mayer. Also, Mike previously served on the "client side" as manager of stakeholder communications for AccuRay Corporation (now a division of Swiss conglomerate ABB), developing international PR, advertising, investor relations and marketing communications programs for this manufacturer of process automation equipment.
