Virginia Racing Commission Selects CRT/tanaka--Agency Will Promote Equine Industry in the Commonwealth
Richmond, Va. (October 30, 2006) - CRT/tanaka today announced that it has been retained by the Virginia Racing Commission. The agency will provide strategic counsel to the Commission to promote the equine industry in the Commonwealth. The account will be serviced by CRT/tanaka's Corporate Practice.
The Virginia Racing Commission was established by an Act of the Virginia General Assembly in 1989 to grow, sustain and control the native horse racing industry in Virginia, including control of all horse racing with pari-mutuel wagering that is conducted in the Commonwealth.
"The Racing Commission is looking forward to working with CRT/tanaka in developing programs that will increase public awareness of the Virginia horse industry, including promotion of the horses as a major agricultural commodity," said David Reynolds, chairman of the Racing Commission's marketing committee.
"CRT/tanaka has a long, proud history of involvement with Virginia's horse industry, dating back to the creation of the pari-mutuel wagering industry and the selection of the state's first race track and satellite wagering facilities," said Mike Mulvihill, president of CRT/tanaka. "We believe our newest engagement will help expand the consumer experience and increase their appreciation level for all facets of the Commonwealth's equine industry."
