CRT/tanaka Named Finalist in PRWeek Awards Program in the Research and Measurement Category
Richmond, Va. (February 5, 2007) - CRT/tanaka has been named a finalist in the PRWeek Awards 2007 program for excellence in the public relations field in the Research & Measurement category. The competition is one of the PR industry's highest accolades given annually to the best corporate, non-profit and agency teams as well as the campaigns they produce.
CRT/tanaka was nominated for its research-intensive branding and marketing campaign for Longwood University. Research for the campaign included qualitative and quantitative methodologies to probe perceptions among the many audiences who impact the success of an organization such as Longwood University. The research anchored the development of a brand marketing plan, which was themed - Discover the Power in You. During this campaign, Longwood has grown at a pace that exceeds state and national standards and generated the largest freshmen class (2006) in the university's history.
PRWeek received nearly 700 entries in 32 categories for work done during the past year. Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony to be held at Tavern on the Green in New York City, on March 8, 2007.
"The PRWeek Awards honors the highest degree of creativity and professionalism in public relations," says PRWeek Editor-in-Chief Julia Hood. "The finalists" successes demonstrate why the PR industry is thriving and growing faster than the overall market for advertising and marketing."
