CRT/tanaka Recognized as One of the Most Admired Agencies in the Country --Agency ranks 3rd nationally among all PR Firms

Richmond, Va. (March 7, 2006) - CRT/tanaka has been recognized as one of the nation's "Most Admired Public Relations Agencies" and one of the "Best Public Relations Agencies to Work For," in the 2006 rankings compiled by The Holmes Report, one of the PR industry's leading trade publications. In the rankings, CRT/tanaka ranked 3rd among the "Most Admired PR firms," based on responses from PR agency principals.

Both firms that received higher rankings (Edelman and Fleishman-Hilliard) are international agencies that are more than 30 times larger than CRT/tanaka.

The Holmes Report rankings are based on an analysis of survey responses from more than 4,500 PR agency professionals at nearly 100 different firms nationwide. Along with rating their own agencies in such key categories as quality of management, client service, professional development, ethics and values, survey respondents also were asked to rank agencies they would like to work for, other than their own.

Headquartered in Richmond, Va. and New York, with offices in Los Angeles, Charlotte, N.C. and Norfolk, Va., CRT/tanaka also was recognized as one of the top 10 "Best Mid-Size PR Agencies to Work For" in the country.

In The Holmes Report rankings, CRT/tanaka was cited for its values-based work culture, generous personal-day policies, solid professional development program and flexible work environment.

CRT/tanaka was formed in September 2005, when Richmond-based Carter Ryley Thomas Public Relations & Marketing Counsel acquired New York consumer specialist Patrice Tanaka & Company, Inc., both fixtures on the "Best Agencies to Work For" lists over the past 10 years.

"Having CRT/tanaka ranked among the top PR agencies in the country is a great honor. We are working very hard to create a great work environment based on the ideals of goodness, genius and greatness for our clients and our employees," said Mark Raper, CRT/tanaka chairman and chief executive officer.
