As an associate vice president, Jeff serves as the agency's director of business development, managing new business generation and agency promotions functions for the agency. He also has specific expertise in community relations, grassroots marketing and public awareness campaigns.
Jeff managed CRT/tanaka’s community relations campaign for Housing Virginia, a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness about the need for more affordable housing in Virginia. For the campaign, Jeff’s work included research development, strategic planning, media relations, event planning and grassroots marketing. CRT/tanaka earned a Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for its work with Housing Virginia.
As the account manager for Bon Secours Richmond Health System, Jeff’s work helped the hospital system secure state approval for a 130-bed hospital – St. Francis Medical Center – in Chesterfield County, Va., despite stiff competition from a national competitor. CRT/tanaka’s work with Bon Secours earned a Bronze Anvil (Issues Advertising) and a Health Academy Innovation Award (Community Relations and Public Affairs Management) from PRSA.
For one of CRT/tanaka’s business-to-business clients, Tridium Inc., Jeff’s work included strategic planning, branding and image creation, product introduction, business-to-business marketing, trade show marketing and media relations. CRT/tanaka’s work for Tridium received numerous national and local awards, including the 2002 Hi-Tech Campaign of the Year award from PRWeek magazine and a 2002 Gold Quill Award (Media Relations) from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
In 2007, Jeff was recognized as one of Richmond’s “Top 40 Under 40” by Style Magazine for his career achievements and community service.
