Avocados from Mexico Mini-Chef Contest Featured in PRWeek

To promote awareness about Avocados from Mexico among children and moms, CRT/tanaka created the Mini Chef Video Contest. Contest participants were able to upload videos of themselves making recipes using avocados. CRT/tanaka’s Interactive/Social Media Practice designed the contest logo, Twitter background, Facebook profile picture, YouTube background, banner ads and special contest web banner for the main page of the Avocados from Mexico website. Here is an article from Mashable, “7 Twitter Marketing Campaigns to Learn From,” which features CRT/tanaka’s Go Granny campaign developed and executed for our client Network Solutions. The mockumentary launched during Super Bowl weekend is a spoof of competitors Go Daddy’s risque Super Bowl ads.

Featuring Academy Award-winner Cloris Leachman as Go Granny, “the original domain girl,” the video garnered close to 50 million impressions overall and led to a 500 percent increase in Network Solutions’ domain sales that weekend.
